Originating from Singapore, I migrated to New York in 2008 to pursue my passion in art and design– a journey that has led me to work in the creative field for many years.
I initiated Even Keel as a self-funded, eager undertaking with the simple thought of making biodegradable soap bars that are genuinely harmless to the environment: a product everyone uses- everyday, twice. That's alot of toxic chemicals leeching into the earth to keep ourselves clean!
Continuing to further my journey into environmentally-friendly self-care, I identified many of the items I use frequently that could be adapted to this lifestyle.
Combining my design skills and commitment to sustainability, I created a collection of self-care products where I strive to "perfectly" balance aesthetic appeal while formulating with an absolutely natural, untainted, and free of artificial ingredient list.
My journey has been an engaging experience, with nostalgic days of batching from my kitchen as gifts to my friends to the current help of my small team in our East Williamsburg studio in Brooklyn- and as always, every item in our collection is handcrafted and packaged from our studio to you.
