Detoxifying: The properties of clay draws out environmental impurities and toxins within pores.

Will the clay in your soap clog my pipes?

No. Clay makes up under 5% of each bar and is fully blended in, not loose powder. It disperses into the wash water like the clay in a face mask. Plumbing handles far more sediment than this.

Why do some of your soap scents fade faster than others?

It's the essential oils, not a flaw. We use essential oils, not synthetic fragrance oils, so scent strength varies naturally. Fragrance oils use fixatives for staying power, while essential oils break down at different rates. Citrus fades fastest; patchouli or sandalwood linger longer. Store away from heat and light.

How long will my soap bar last?

Expect about 3–4 weeks with daily use if stored dry. Moisture is the biggest factor: soap left sitting in water softens faster, while a bar that dries between uses lasts longer. A magnetic soap holder keeps it elevated and air-dried, often doubling its lifespan. Small habits make a difference.

Why isn't my soap bar perfectly square?

Because it's hand-cut, not machine-stamped. Each bar is cut individually from a larger loaf, so slight size or shape variations are normal, no two bars are ever identical. I keep every cut as clean as possible, but small imperfections are part of the handmade process, not a flaw.

Can I use this on my face?

I recommend our bars primarily as a body and hand soap, since that's what they're formulated for. That said, nothing in the ingredient list makes them unsafe for facial use. If you'd like to try it as a face wash, patch test a small area first. Everyone's skin is different.

I love this soap!
The scent doesn't fade as you use the soap, which is often the case with other soaps. My bathroom smells so good for a long time thanks to this soap. I also appreciate it being biodegradable.

I'm hooked!

I ordered three bars of soap in January when I discovered this brand. I tried three different bars, and Amalfi was my favorite scent. Four months later, I'm running out and just placed an order for 3 Amalfi bars. It leaves my skin squeaky clean with no residue. I use it daily to wash my body and go through about 1 bar/month. Additionally, Even Keel's customer service is excellent, responsive, and kind. I'm so glad I ditched my watered-down drug store body wash that came in a plastic bottle and switched to Even Keel bar soap!

First, my skin has never felt softer post shower. Second, the scent is intoxicating yet not overpowering. My bathroom smells like a spa now. Third, the soap and packaging feel like a luxury product but it’s an affordable price from a small business. What could be better about Amalfi and the rest of Even Keel’s product line? Amalfi soap is a MUST HAVE!!

Lovely for sensitive skin!

My skin is easily irritated by the ingredients in typical soap products, but Even Keel's clay bars leave my skin feeling soft and clean without stripping its natural moisture. I love the pink color and the light scent of the Amalfi bar. Since I switched to using clean products on my skin and in my home, I find I'm super sensitive to synthetic fragrances, but all the products I've tried from Even Keel have lovely, natural scents that don't give me a headache!

Silky soft hands

As a medical professional who has to constantly wash my hands with antibacterial soap all day long, this soap is a godsend to use at home to restore hydration in my hands. My skin has become silky soft! I am obsessed with its scent and this bar looks super chic on the maple wood soap dish!
